Richard Morrison is a very unique artist whose work evokes a sense of timelessness and energy. Combining a variety of visual elements, flowing landscape forms and geometric shapes with archetypal themes he creates organic compositions that fuse perception with the sublime.

Currently residing in the southern US, Richard is an active artist, designer and craftsman. He received a BFA from Memphis College of Art in 1989 and a MFA from the University of Georgia in 1992. Since completing his education Richard has lived throughout the South and Southwest US doing research and traveling in national/state parks and museums all over the United States and Europe. He has divided his time teaching, creating art, marketing, researching and exhibiting while completing a number of portrait, faux finish, tromp'loell and mural commissions. He is currently available for commission work and can be contacted via e-mail.

The prints available on this site are printed with pigment based inks on acid free paper using an Epson wide format printer and should last 50 years or more. Framing is suggested to maintain quality.

"My work is a result of influences from the natural world and from the world of archetype and legend. Great art from history and the contemporary art world inspires me. The study of nature and the sciences,the mystical,the archetypal and sublime are all a part of my work .I try to open myself as a vehicle for a higher voice that speaks through my art , a voice that mixes my own response to life with the voice of the subconscious that we all are part of."
